Description
Napoleon’s elder brother, he was first a lawyer, then a diplomat and soldier. Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor. He was created King of Naples in 1806 and King of Spain and India in 1808. During the Hundred Days, he was appointed Lieutenant-General of the Empire.
Autograph letter signed dated 01.09.1813, concerning the victory of Dresden gained by the Emperor on the Allies on August 26 and 27, 1813 and that Cambaceres had announced to his correspondent: "je vous prie d’agréer mes remerciements pour les bonnes nouvelles contenues dans votre lettre du 30 et le désir que j’ai d’en recevoir bientôt les détails…”. ½ p.
