Description
Third daughter of Louis XV and Marie Leczinska, she played a certain political role during the reigns of both her father and her nephew Louis XVI. In 1791, she emigrated to Italy with her sister Madame Victoire.
Document signed dated 29.08.1780, concerning an appointment to the Dames du Saint-Sacrement in Nancy. Marie Adélaide of France grants: "Bon pour un brevet en faveur de Madelle De Bey au lieu et place de Madelle De Barrail qui est morte à Belle Vue Ce 1er 8bre 1780". – This lot is under temporary import in the UK. 5% VAT is due if delivered in the UK.
