Description
In 1931, he entered the prefecture with the support of Napoleon III. From 1848, he undertook the renovation of Paris. Napoleon wanted to link the stations by wide boulevards, and to create a major north-south and east-west crossroads. He wanted parks, greenery, fresh air, light and a festive Paris.
Autograph letter signed dated Lundi: "…Voulez-vous … venir partager le modeste dîner dont il s’agit …"; Autograph letter signed dated Lundi 5: "…je suis convoqué le même jour, 3h., à un Conseil de Famille qui doit se tenir à la Justice de Paix…". – This lot is under temporary import in the UK. 5% VAT is due if delivered in the UK.
