Victorious at Castiglione, he distinguished himself throughout the Italian campaign and took part in the coup d'état of 18 Fructidor year V (September 4, 1797). He took part in the Empire's campaigns, distinguishing himself at Léna and Eylau. Napoleon made him Marshal of the Empire. He was one of the first to rally to Louis XVIII. Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor.
Manuscript signed "Augereau, as general commanding division No. 1, and "Pérignon", as provisional general in chief, Fort de Figuières, 17 Ventőse Year III (March 7, 1794), 1 p. in folio, wax stamp red with attributes. Beautiful piece.
"Congé absolu" issued to volunteer Jean Lavadou, native of Fagole, district of Gourdon (Lot), of the 1st Avengers battalion, unable to continue his service. Signed also by the members of the Board of Directors of the said battalion.
