ART - WHISTLER James McNeill (1834 - 1903) - Document signed

Document signed by celebrated the American painter, dated "27th of June 1888". Whistler signs a document granting "...the principal sum of £ 500 secured by a certain Indenture of Mortgage...". After Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee Year of 1887, the Society won the right to the prefix ‘Royal’ thanks to the leadership of James McNeill Whistler.
