SCIENCE AND MEDICINE - TISSOT Samuel Auguste (1728 - 1797) - Autograph card signed

Studied medicine in Montpellier. On his return to Switzerland, his attitude during a smallpox epidemic led to his appointment as a doctor for the poor. His numerous writings on various medical subjects, translated into fifteen languages, earned him an international reputation.
