SCIENCE AND MEDICINE - BOVET Lucien (1907 - 1951) - Autograph letter signed

Studied medicine at Lausanne University, specialising in psychiatry, particularly child and adolescent psychiatry. As deputy director of Cery, he helped to set up a child psychiatry treatment centre at Le Bercail, then at the Office médico-pédagogique vaudois, of which he was the first chief physician (1942-1951). A lecturer at the universities of Lausanne and Geneva, and a consultant to the WHO, he took a particular interest in the problems posed by childhood victims of war and juvenile delinquency.
