SCIENCE AND MEDICINE - QUETELET Lambert Adolphe (1796 - 1874) - Autograph letter signed

Dr in Science from the University of Ghent at the age of 23, where he taught mathematics. In 1923, he went to study astronomy at the Paris Observatory, where he studied statistics, which he elevated to the rank of a science. In 1934, he became permanent secretary of the Royal Academy of Belgium. He was responsible for the international measurement system for obesity.
