SCIENCE AND MEDICINE - CLAUDE Georges (1870 - 1960) - Signed printed photograph

A chemical engineer and physicist, he was responsible for many of the discoveries fundamental to modern economics. He invented neon lighting, etc. His role as scientific advisor to the Vichy government led to his expulsion from the Académie des Sciences and his imprisonment from 1945 to 1949.
