Description

Doctor of Medicine in 1824. In 1926, he succeeded his father as professor of botany at the Jardin des Plantes. In 1845, he was professor of plant organography at the university. He wrote several books on botany. He was President of the Académie des Sciences.
Autograph letter signed 25.11.1832 “… Pourriez-vous me donner la date du premier cours que M. Cuvier fit au collège de France sur l’histoire des Sciences naturelles…”. 1 p. In-8.
