Description
Gifted with a bass voice, he made his debut at the Opéra-Comique, then at the Paris Opéra, where he later became director. He later became director of the New York Conservatory.
Autograph letter signed dated Paris, 07.06.1895: “Voici la dépêche que je reçois de Melba …”.
