MUSIC - VOLCKAERT Edith (1949 - 1992) - Printed concert program signed

At the age of four she played a Vivaldi concerto in public. She had only one teacher, Carlo Van Neste, and from the age of 15 she won international awards. She was applauded throughout the world as a soloist, but also as a chamber musician. She was a teacher at the Brussels Conservatoire. She courageously faced up to an incurable disease. After an initial operation, she resumed her lessons and kept her pupils until the end.
