MUSIC - PLANTE Francis (1839 - 1934) - Autograph letter on visiting card

Began playing at the age of four and entered the Conservatoire at the age of 10. He rubbed shoulders with many of the great musicians of his time. He became a musical globe trotter, practicing on a silent keyboard. In 1876, he was awarded the Légion d'honneur.
