MUSIC - HASKIL Clara (1895 - 1960) - Printed concert program signed

She entered the Bucharest Conservatory at the age of six and gave her first concert at the age of 8. After suffering from scoliosis, she remained in plaster for four years. In 1921, she resumed her tours and moved to Paris. On the eve of the Second World War, she underwent an operation for a brain tumour. She fled the Nazis, took refuge in Switzerland and became a Swiss citizen. Her career then took on its true dimension.
