MUSIC - FISCHER Edwin (1886 - 1960) - Photograph with autograph musical quotation signed

He entered the Basel Conservatory at the age of 10, then went on to the Berlin Conservatory. He organised a chamber orchestra, which he liked to conduct from his piano. In 1942, he moved to Lucerne and since then has directed the summer festival. But he had serious pressure problems. He continued to teach at the Lucerne Conservatoire, but became paralysed and died a few months later.
