MUSIC - CHERUBINI Luigi Carlo (1760 - 1842) - Autograph letter signed

Studied music first with his father, then with Giuseppe Sarti. At the age of 19 he composed his first opera. In 1784, he left for London and two years later for Paris. In 1795, he became Inspector at the Conservatoire, then in 1822 Director. He was awarded the Légion d'Honneur.
Autograph letter signed 9 février: "Je prie monsieur Favart d'avoir la bonté de faire placer Mr. Sardou pensionnaire porteur du présent, avec Mr. Legandres chef du pensionnat qui l’accompagne…”. 1 p in-4.
