MUSIC - VAUCORBEIL Auguste-Emmanuel (1821 - 1884) - Autograph letter signed

Studied at the Paris Conservatoire with, among others, Cherubini. He published 22 songs that became very popular. Later, he wrote sonatas and suites for violin and piano.
In 1878 he was appointed Inspector of Fine Arts, then Director of the National Opera Theatre. Légion d'honneur.
