LITERATURE - MANN Thomas (1875 - 1955) - Signed printed photograph

In 1894, after the death of his father, he moved to Munich to work for an insurance company. He contributed to his brother's magazine and studied at the Technische Hochschule. In 1929, he is awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. Travels in Italy. In 1933, he emigrated to Switzerland, then in 1938 to the USA. He returned to Switzerland in 1952.
