LITERATURE - CARMEN SYLVA (1843 - 1916) - Signed printed photograph

Her real name was Elisabeth Pauline de Weid (Monrepos near Neuwied (D), 29.12.1843 - Bucharest, 02.03.1916). In 1869, she married Charles Prince of Romania. Her German education was very varied. She played the piano and the organ, sang, painted and, above all, wrote poetry, fairy tales and ballads.
