LITERATURE - ULBACH Louis (1822 - 1889) - Autograph letter signed

Encouraged by Victor Hugo, he embarked on a literary career. He started out as a drama critic for Le Temps, then wrote several satirical letters for Le Figaro under the name Farragus. Hostile to the Empire, he was twice imprisoned.
