LITERATURE - MONNEROT Jules (1909 - 1995) - Autograph letter signed

Métis sociologist. A member of the Resistance network "Ceux de la libération", he sat on the national council of the RPF, with which he broke off in 1959. A politically committed supporter of French Algeria, he defined himself as an overseas Frenchman and belonged to the nationalist right. At the end of his life he joined the Front National, but resigned in 1990 when Jean-Marie Le Pen gave his support to Saddam Hussein.
