LITERATURE - JANET Paul (1923 - 1899) - Autograph letter signed

He became professor of moral philosophy at Bourges, Strsbourg, and then at the Lycée Louis-le-Grand in Paris. From 1864, he held the chair of philosophy at the Sorbonne. He was elected a member of the Académie des Sciences morales et politiques: Autograph letter signed: ”...nous avons très bien reçu la ... billets de Mr Ambroise Thomas, et ces dames ont eu le plus grand plaisir…”.
