LITERATURE - FRANCK Adolphe (1809 - 1893) - Autograph letter signed

Most of his work was devoted to the study of Judaism. In 1843, he published La kabbale ou philosophie religieuses des hébreux. This was the first comprehensive scientific work on the origins and content of the Kabbalah in popular terms. In 1848, he wrote Communism Judged by History. From 1854 to 1887, he was a lecturer at the Collège de France and on 11.04.1893 he became a member of the Académie des Sciences morales et politiques.
