HANSSON Halvor Major General Norway
(04.06.1886 - 1956) During his studies, he became acquainted with Quisling, a politician who collaborated with the Nazi occupiers. During WW2, he was Chief of the General Staff. He was taken prisoner by the Germans, along with other Norwegian officers, and sent to a camp in Poland. After the war, he was Major General of the Norwegian Defense.

HAMBRO Carl Joachim SDN - UN Norway
(Bergen, 1885 - Oslo, 1964). He worked as a journalist for a conservative daily, then as a publisher and finally as a literary critic. He joined the Conservative Party in 1908. He was deeply involved in international politics. In 1939, he was President of the League of Nations, and after the Second World War, he was a delegate to the UN General Assembly. He was a member of the Nobel Committee from 1940 to 1963.

LIE Trygve Halvadan Secretary-General UN Norway
(Oslo, 1896 - Geilo, 1968). A jurist, diplomat and politician, he was Minister of Justice from 1935 to 1939, then Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was the first Secretary-General of the UN from 1946 to 1953.
