Description
Emigrated to Palestine in 1906, leader of the Mapai party, general secretary of Histadrut, he was elected president of the Provisional National Council in 1948, which proclaimed Israel’s independence. Head of government from 1948 to 1953, and again from 1955, he left office abruptly in 1963. Having formed a new political grouping, Rafi, he was expelled from Mapai.
Signed printed photograph applied to cardboard in-16 to Jean-Thierry Langer with envelope dated 29.08.1966.
