NICOLA Charles-Erico (Basel, 1907 - Buchillon, 2001).A graduate in science from Lausanne University, during the Second World War he joined the Queen of Holland in Great Britain to resist the Nazis.After the war, he returned to his property in Buchillon, where rare species grow.Here he brought together scientists, politicians and thinkers committed to the cause of peace and the environment. He founded the World Meteorological Organization.
