HISTORY - SMUTS Jan Christian (1870 - 1950) - Signed printed photograph

After studying law at Cambridge, he returned to RSA and became a member of the government, then prime minister, as he was against apartheid. At the age of 71, he was appointed Field Marshal. He was one of the most powerful political figures of the first half of the 20th century.
