HISTORY - PERSHING John Joseph (1860 - 1948) - Typed letter signed

He put down the Philippine revolt in 1904, then led the expedition against Mexico in 1915. Commander-in-Chief of the American forces on the French front, he fought the Battle of the Meuse and entered Sedan on the 11th November 1918.
Typed letter signed and dated Washington, 06.10.1926 to Dr. H. Carnal:"... that he never received the copy of Webster's Unas Dictionary ..."; signature (20.10.1924) on a guest book.
