HISTORY - BEDELL SMITH Walter (1895 - 1961) - Signed printed photograph

He joined the army in 1917 as a reserve officer, then served in France with the 4th Division during the Second World War. Finally, in 1942, he became Eisenhower's Chief of Staff in England. He was also ambassador to the USSR from 1946 to 1949. He headed the CIA until 1953, when he became Under-Secretary of State.
