HISTORY - NIMITZ Chester William (1885 - 1966) - Signed printed photograph

He graduated from the Annapolis Naval Academy in 1905. He was Chief of Submarine Forces Atlantic and promoted to Admiral in 1938. He worked with Admiral Ernest King and General Mac Arthur. In 1947 he retired from the navy and two years later accepted the honorary position of ambassador to the United Nations.
