HISTORY - KEMP Caleb Rickman (1836 - 1908) - Autograph letter signed

Minister at the age of 21. Following a trip to India with his father, he became interested in overseas missions. He worked for the Anti-Slavery Society, including 27 years on the Committee. He took an active part in the British and Foreign Bible Society, even serving as its president.
Autograph letter signed to Paul Langer Senior, Lewes, 24.04.1879: “… to express my sympathy with you in the decease of your brother...".
