HISTORY - DRUMMOND PERTH Eric (1876 - 1951) - Letter signed

Educated at Eton. A British diplomat from Scotland, he was the first Secretary General of the League of Nations from 1919 to 1933. Ambassador to Rome from 1933 to 1939. He was a Member of Parliament and leader of the Liberal Party from 1947 to 1951.
