Description

She was brought up by her parents and was gifted at outdoor sports and playing the violin. In January 1912, she met one of the heroes of the Second Boer War and founder of scouting Lord Robert Baden-Powell. During the war she worked in France, then travelled to 107 countries to promote Scouting.
Typed letter signed dated Hampton Court, 18.04.1970 to Hugues de Rham: “… for there is surely so much goodwill and eager enthusiasm ever present in the minds and hearts of the Scouters…”.; Autograph letter signed dated Adelboden, 01.10.1968 to M. de Rham: “…both my grand-daughter and I have so much appreciated being welcomed …”.
