Studied at Eton and the Angers military academy. He distinguished himself in India, Denmark, Portugal and Spain. French ambassador to the Congress of Vienna, he was appointed general of all the allied armies. After Waterloo, he marched on Paris, which he entered on 7 July 1815.
Letter signed dated Cambray, 22.05.1816 :"...the same person who complained to the duc de Richelieu complained to me…”.. Included: one autograph letter signed dated 1839, the documents and an autograph fragment.
