Letter written a little more than a month after the battle of Eylau, while the Emperor was preparing his spring offensive and repairing the losses that his army had suffered: “Envoyez-nous beaucoup de renforts, mais bien armés et en bon état…”. Traces of humidity in some parts of the letter.
