HISTORY - SLIM William (1897 - 1970) - Signed printed photograph

He joined the army in 1914 and was seriously wounded. He was declared invalided out. He persuaded the army to take him back and was promoted to brigadier in 1939 and major-general in 1941. In 1948, he succeeded Montgoméry. After his retirement, he served as Governor General in Australia.
