HISTORY - ROBERTS Frederick (1832 - 1914) - Typed letters signed
An Anglo-Irishman, after graduating from Eton he joined the Indian Army and fought against the rebellion. He then served in Abyssinia and Afghanistan. He took part in the Boer War at Transval. He was one of the best Field Marshals of the Victorian era.
