HISTORY - HARRIS Arthur Travers (1892 - 1984) - Signed printed photograph
Description
Educated in Devon. In 1910, he was in Rhodesia as a farm assistant. In 1915 he joined the RAF as a pilot and by the end of the war was a Major. Commonly known as ‘Bomber Harris’ because of the ‘test’ bombing runs he made as RAF Marshal over Germany during the Second World War.
