HISTORY - EDEN Anthony (1897 - 1977) - Signed printed photograph

Voluntary service during the First World War. Studied Arabic and Persian at Oxford. Entered Parliament in 1923. He made a name for himself as a champion of peace, internationalism and the League of Nations. Foreign Minister in 1935. He was ennobled in 1954 and appointed Prime Minister in 1955. He resigned in 1957 for health reasons.
