HISTORY - ATTLEE Clement Richard (1883 - 1967) - Signed printed photograph

A Labour MP in 1922, he was a member of the McDonald government (1929-1931). From 1940 to 1945, he was a member of W. Churchill's War Cabinet. Leader of the Labour Party when it won the 1945 election, he was Prime Minister until 1951. He gradually led the country towards nationalisation and a planned economy.
