Archduke of Austria. King of Hungary, Bohemia, Naples, Sardinia and Sicily, Duke of Parma and Piacenza. His reign was marked by the quarrels over the succession of European dynasties. He should have succeeded the last Habsburg of Spain, Charles II, but the latter had already designated a successor, the Duke of Anjou, which led to the War of the Spanish Succession.
Letter signed in German, signed “Carl” 3 p. Letterhead with calligraphic initials and large seal on the fourth page. Untranslated document by Charles VI. Vienna, 27.10.1712 .In fine condition except for some paper creases and foxing.
