HISTORY - ADALBERT Heinrich Wilhelm (1811 - 1873) - Autograph letters signed

Admiral of the Prussian Navy in 1854. When, in the course of the war against Denmark, it became clear that Prussia's failure came from the sea, he became an ardent advocate of a war fleet. At his suggestion, Frederick William IV entrusted him with the construction of a port, which he had named Wilhelmshaven. From 1867, he was superior commander of the Imperial Navy.
