HISTORY - CARNOT Sadi (1837 - 1894) - Autograph letter signed

Studied at the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ponts et Chaussées. Prefect of the Seine in 1881, he was elected deputy for the Côte d'Or. He was Minister of Finance in 1885 and elected President of the Republic on 3 December 1887. He was assassinated by the anarchist Caserio during the Lyon Exhibition.
Autograph letter signed dated 10.07.1882(?) "…de vouloir bien me dire s'il peut être donné satisfaction au désir exprimé par Mr le général Duboys…”.
