HISTORY - RIOU Gaston (1883 - 1958) - Autograph letter signed

A radical-socialist MP for Ardèche, he was a pacifist and a convinced European. He created the European Economic and Customs Union. As he put it, Europe must "unite or die". He wrote several political books.
Autograph letter signed, dated 22.07.1920: "… permettez-moi … de dire combien j'ai été touché de l'intérêt que vous avez bien voulu prendre à l'une de mes lettres…".
