HISTORY - HANOTAUX Gabriel Albert Auguste (1853 - 1944) - Autograph letter signed

Diplomat, historian and politician, he was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1894 to 1898. He was one of the main architects of the Franco-Russian alliance. He advocated a policy of development in Africa and was France's delegate to the League of Nations. He was awarded the Académie française in 1897 and the Légion d'honneur.
