HISTORY - GASPARIN Agénor (1810 - 1871) - Autograph letter signed

Studied law in Paris. In 1842, he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies as the representative for Corsica. He supported the abolition of slavery and religious freedom for Protestants in France. In 1846, he retired from politics and defended the separation of church and state.
