HISTORY - ARAGO Etienne (1802 - 1892) - Autograph letter signed

Brother of François Arago, he vacillated all his life between literature and politics. He was mayor of Paris in September 1870 and curator of the Musée du Luxembourg.
Autograph letter signed, dated 30 May - he recommends a young man: "…qu'on a envoyé au Conservatoire dans l'espérance d'en faire un bon ténor...".
