Pen name: Guillain de Bénouville. Graduate in literature from the University of Paris, journalist and then director of several newspapers. In 1941, he joined de Gaulle in Algiers. In 1944, he was promoted to brigadier general. In 1949, he was a member of the RPF's governing council, deputy for Ille-et-Vilaine and mayor of La Richardais. In 1967, he became managing director of the press company Jours de France.
