HISTORY - LARDEMELLE Charles de (1867 - 1935) - Autograph letter signed

He studied in Nancy, then entered St Cyr. After graduating in 1887, he held several posts in France and in 1900 was sent to Indochina, then China, returning to France in 1913. He rose through the ranks to become a Major General.
Autograph letter signed and dated 04.12.1916: "… je me ferai un plaisir de faire appel à votre gracieux concours pour apporter quelques distractions à mes hommes…".
