HISTORY - HIRSCHAUER Auguste Edouard (1857 - 1943) - Autograph card signed

A native of the Moselle region, he was a symbol of the people of the East, torn between France and the German Reich. He worked on the organisation of French aeronautics. He was promoted to general on 12.12.1912. He finished as commander of Strasbourg, a symbol of revenge. Autograph card signed and dated 02.01.1967: "… à vous et à vos dévoués camarades qui consacrez votre temps à nos soldats …".
